A Healthy Eye For Your Horse

As much as it is important to us humans, the sights of our horses are also significant to their daily lives.  To achieve and complete most of the activity that they do, they need a balanced system and good eyesight. Our everyday routine and challenges in life are being accomplished with good senses.  If we lose either, the burden will be as bad as a tragedy. There are activities and tasks that need the usage of our keen eyesight in order to achieve it.  Just for example when we clean our house; we cannot clean our house if we cannot see which is dirty and where it is, same as to horses. If they do not know and see what they encounter and do they are as good as an incapacitated.  To feel useless is to feel unwilling to survive. Although there are institutions that provide caretakers who devote their time to guide and aid these blind horses to carry on with their lives.

Horse Eye  - - Better Keep Them Healthy
While it is not enough that horses can see, it is much more important that they have a healthy vision. Blurry eyesight aside from causing too much distress and headache can create shadowy silhouette and distorted image of the person or anything in particular. Just imagine that when you are a horse; the vision is as scary as seeing a ghost or a madman that results to a fussy reaction that might harm both the entity and the horse itself.

Eye problems caused to horses are common, experts say.  Though starting at a minor problem, eye problems might result to the blindness of the horse.  Good thing there are sets of guidelines to prevention and caring for this dilemma.

Is your plan for fall horse worming already in place? Contact your veterinarian now for the best horse wormer to give this fall!

To determine a healthy eye examine your horse and observe if he has these signs.  First check his eyes and identify its clarity and brightness; they should be normal and good.  Next check if eyelids are tight, pale pink and moist on its inside, which likely indicate it is in good condition.  At least a form of a teardrop is present to consider a normal tearing for horses.   These indications must be rated well with your own observation or else, have them examined by your vet.

To maintain a healthy eye, these are the things that you must do and consider for your horse.  Make sure that there is clean environment where you put your horse and that includes an environment being dust-free as much as possible.  All the things like the nails or sharp edges, metal buildings, pipes and or other obstacles must be properly covered to ensure the protection and safety of your horse.
